"ISO/TC 211 is pleased to accept the United Kingdoms offer to draft a NWIP for a Technical Amendment to address harmonization and enhancements for all the 19100 standards in order that the amended standards can be published in a timely and efficient manner. Furthermore ISO/TC 211 requests the United Kingdom to submit by 2002-06-17 to the secretariat the NWIP for ballot."
Harmonisation of the 191** series of standards is vital for their success. It is a complex, recursive and thus prolonged process which threatens to delay publication of the standards. TC 211 has agreed that the standards should be published without further delay so that they can be used as soon as possible. Usage will provide the necessary feedback from the international community to further address practical issues including harmonisation.
This technical amendment will enable the individual 191** standards to progress to publication with an established mechanism for the work of achieving harmonisation to continue. The publication of the technical amendment will provide early availability of amendments needed to achieve full harmonisation as well as other amendments that are necessary either for the achievement of the objectives of the standards or as a result of feedback from practical use in the field. The published amendments will then be incorporated in each 191** standard as and
when they are individually re-published.
It is intended that the project team for this work item will manage and co-ordinate the work while drawing on the work and advice of the individual experts of the project teams that produced each 191** standard.
The work of harmonisation will continue as new 191** work items are proposed. The current work programme of TC 211 has publication dates for standards up to the end of 2004. However the task of harmonisation will become less complex as the work for the majority of the standards is completed. It is proposed that this technical amendment should be published towards the end of 2003 at which time TC211 can decide if there is a need for a further technical amendment. | | 其 它 | 立项时间 年月 立项文件：N 1302 N 1346 |
